Yay! It’s fashion week again! Although this has already been day 2, I’m trying to keep up and I’m now posting about day 1. So if you are following any other Dutch bloggers this may come as old news to you. But that doesn’t matter, because I’ve got super exclusive material. And by super exclusive material I mean a picture of my own hand holding a cellphone. I mean, which other blogger can say that?! Right?! RIGHT?!
Actually I am the worst fashion blogger ever, since I forgot to take pics of what I was wearing this day. Luckily I got photographed by another blogger… Whose name I can’t remember. BOO ME! If you happen to spot the picture, hook me up!
Now on to the shows! I visited two shows on day 1: SIS by Spijkers & Spijkers and MaryMe-JimmyPaul.
The SS14 collection of SIS by Spijkers & Spijkers was inspired by Brigitte Bardot. I liked the theme of the collection and the French soundtrack (think Vanessa Paradis and Yelle) really added to the atmosphere. My favourite items were the ones with checked and floral prints -surprise surprise-. During this show I was still figuring out my camera settings, so the quality may not do everything justice. Of course there are press pictures out there, but I’m stubborn and I only want to show you my own pics.
The second show I visited by MaryMe-JimmyPaul was something entirely different and therefore very refreshing. The whole collection is so colourful, I thought it was a Skittles commercial. The show was built around an interactive experience. When logging onto a special website the audience was able to vote on every outfit. At the end of the show the best and worst outfits were shown. I guess the keyword for this show was ‘fun’. I had a smile pasted on my face throughout the entire show.
