welcome back

As some of you may have seen on my social media (or in person) I sold a bunch of my things at de IJhallen flea market last weekend. One of the things laying on my stall was this fun top by Lazy Oaf. Lazy Oaf is one of my fave brands, so when they had their clearance sale last year I immediately ordered a bunch of things. While I thought this top was very fun, I never got around to wearing it. Maybe it was because I decided I needed to dress like an adult, since I always get my ID checked everywhere. Or maybe it was because it felt a little awkward wearing a top with sausages on, being a vegetarian and all. One way or the other, it was one of the eyecatchers I was expecting to sell very fast.

But as it turned out people only came to check it out to have a laugh. Then a teenage girl told her dad she didn’t want the top, as it was too childish. And I started thinking. Why did nobody see how awesome this garment was? Was there something wrong with them? Or was there something wrong with me? Why was I tossing away this perfectly good crop top again?! So I gave myself a little styling challenge to wear it in one of my recent looks and see how I liked it. I think this turned out pretty damn good. Welcome back to my closet, stranger!
