No, I haven’t jumped on the Birkenstock or pool slider band wagon just yet. I did however find a pair that fits the same aesthetic, with just a little more Sporty Spice added to the mix. When strolling around Chelsea I ran across this cute shop called Bimba Y Lola. They had everything I like: cute prints, bright plastic accessories and an awesome flatform sandal collection. I felt tempted to go with a slightly less comfortable but très chic silver pair, but ended up opting for this sporty pair. I had a hard time choosing, but my boyfriend (a.k.a. the practical one of us) helped me make the final decision. These shoes are just so comfy, so they’re actually ideal for city trips. On our first few days in London it was super hot, so I loved wearing these babies.
I can totally see myself wearing these with an all grey jersey outfit or a white dress. They definitely remind me of something you would find at Marni. This is probably one of the most fashion forward pairs of shoes I own and I can’t deny that I’ve moved myself into a ‘love it or hate it’ situation.
