We all know the feeling. You’ve got a busy week ahead and you don’t really feel like putting much effort into the way you look. Besides, you’ve just received your phone bill and you went over your data limit again. So there’s probably no way you’re getting anything new this month. A comfy & casual look will have to do. Now how are you going to make this work this week?

Trust me, you can do this! Here’s how:

Fun accessories

Try wearing the most fun pieces you own. Dig up your cutest socks or your most colourful bag. Think of it as an inside joke with yourself: little things like this will put a smile on your face.

DIY a casual piece

Casual is just sooo… casual. Why not refresh one of those casual pieces you’ve worn too many times with a little DIY project? I still have to get started on mine – obviously I did not stitch those stars on my Maje jeans, but it could make for a fun DIY!

Mix & match

If you’re not scared of standing out, you should definitely try mixing & matching multiple fun pieces into one outfit. It’s what I did for today’s look.

What’s your trick for spicing up a “plain” outfit? Can’t wait to hear in the comments!
