I love visiting a good festival during summer time and this always comes with picking the right outfit. I don’t actually have a visit to a festival planned this year yet, though I’m dreaming of going to Glastonbury, SXSW or Coachella asap. Funny thing is that I used to go to festivals way more often, before every magazine or blog told you what to wear to a festival and festival fashion was even a thing. Yes, I just made that statement, am I a hipster now? The ironic thing with hipsters is that you can’t say you are one when you really are, so maybe I am and maybe I’m not, get it 😉 My festival outfit way back when used to be skinny jeans, a band tee and all stars. Comfy, practical and it gives everyone a clue about which band you’re actually there for. These days a lot of festivals aren’t about music anymore, they’re a lot about who’s there and what they’re wearing. Obviously I’m joining in on the fun, being a fashion blogger and all. I just miss the good ol’ days, when it was just music lovers united. Does this make me old?
Bottom line is that I don’t really think festivals are about fashion, but as there really are no fashion rules it’s nice to have fun with it and experiment with a new look.
