When I’m on a city break I love to wear dresses. It’s an easy way to look chic and be comfortable at the same time. The thing is that when you’re up early it can be too chilly for bare legs. In that case I actually layer up by adding a maxi skirt on top! For this look I’m also wearing a new pair of Maruti shoes; the brand that gave me a trip to New York! Obviously I couldn’t walk around the Big Apple without a new pair of those. Their new autumn collection has just dropped and these hyena printed babies are part of it. I’m a sucker for animal print and they’re super comfy for a city trip.
These pictures were taken at one of the entrances of Central Park, as I was looking for a quiet place with a. not too many people who would probably get very annoyed by this girl prancing around on their precious sidewalk and b. the least chance of getting hit by a car. I do have to say I was surprised that the New York streets weren’t as crazy chaotic as I expected. The only time I thought otherwise was when we were on our way to the airport and our cab driver decided to go by Times Square. Of course we had to get stuck in a traffic jam. We had a superfun day at Central Park. We rented bikes and biked around the whole park (10km!)! I never knew this park was this huge. I also got to see Strawberry Fields – the John Lennon memorial – which was pretty impressive. Now obviously I took a lot of pictures, so stay tuned for more!
