Oh yeah, I made it! I’m in New York freakin City! It’s supercool to be here and so far I’m taking in every moment. This city is so beautiful and incredibly cool and I feel unbelievably lucky to even be here. I had a very smooth trip and the hotel is lovely too. On day 1 we still had plenty of time to walk around, explore the neighbourhood and visit Times Square. I thought this was going to be a lost travelling day, but it wasn’t thanks to the 6 hour time difference. It’s so weird that it’s late at night here and early in the morning in The Netherlands.
Today I had some yummy pancakes for breakfast and then went shopping at 5th Avenue. At Uniqlo I saw this great collection in collaboration with with MoMA (the New York Museum of Modern Art) and world famous artists like Basquiat, Keith Haring and Andy Warhol. I also came across this supercool collection with Lulu Guiness. Obviously I had to bag a couple of things! You’ll see the outfits asap, of course. After that we went to MoMA. I love going to museums like this for inspiration and it’s perfect for learning new things about all of the great works of art that have been made over the last century. As a last activity for the day we went to a Yankees baseball match. This would never be my idea if it weren’t for my lovely boyfriend, but it was definitely an entertaining experience!
I absolutely love this city and really enjoy just walking around here. I’m so happy I still have 1 whole week left!
There’s plenty of things I still want to do, so I’m defiitely not going to be bored anytime soon. If you have any tips on cool places/restaurant/diners, do tell!
