Last week I visited the H&M press day, where I had a sneak peek at the Balmain x H&M collection. The whole feel of this collection is very baroque, meaning loads of luxurious materials like leather, suede, velvet and faux fur. The overall style isn’t typically my thing, so I didn’t get that “Ooooh I need this!!!” feeling I had with the Margiela or Marni collections. However this Balmain collection does have some pieces that I really love. I’m a big fan of all the mixed fabrics and techniques that are used in this collection. I shared a picture of my visit to the press day on Insta and Facebook and some of you said that you found this collection to be too expensive. Of course it is, compared to H&M prices, but if you’re a fan of Balmain or of luxurious pieces, then by all means try to get your hands on something.
