When I was a little girl I was quite the book worm – hence the wanting to become a writer story. Nowadays I use a lot of notebooks, but besides that I haven’t picked up a book in a while. There’s a couple of books I got for my birthday, they’re not really Kafka or anything but they might get me into reading again. I am a bit sad that reading books has become such a rarity in this fast-paced world – I’ll take book smart over street smart any day. So when I came across this little book market I thought it would be nice to shoot there as a tribute to the written word. You can find this book market at the Oudemanhuispoort location of the University of Amsterdam. At only €1 a book you’ll surely find something nice to read. The owner of the market is the sweetest and felt truly appreciated and happy that his books got used as a backdrop to a fashion shoot. This market is the only one of its kind in The Netherlands and I was surprised to see so many classics for sale. If you’re around it’s definitely worth the visit. I might even go back myself once I get into reading again 😉
P.S. Have you entered my birthday giveaway yet? You can win a metallic Komono watch! The giveaway has been extended for 3 more days.
As you may has noticed I’ve been offline for 3 whole days, which was due to problems at my hosting company. Obviously I can’t have problems like that again, so if you know of a hosting company that is reliable, do let me know in the comments!
