I have a lot to thank to Pinterest. One of these things being finding out about the existence of Miroslava (or Mira) Duma, a former Harper’s Bazaar Russia editor taking the fashion world by storm. She came out of nowhere a couple of years ago and together with her Russian girlfriends she’s been surprising streetstyle photographers ever since. It’s hard to describe her style, as she’s a true style chameleon who loves to wear the newest designer clothes straight of the runway. Her looks are feminine and quirky and mostly very colourful. She always surprises me with her fun looks, mixing textures and playing around with shapes. Although her style is very unique and doesn’t seem to follow trends, she was one of the first persons to feature ‘it’ items like the Chanel Boy bag and Kenzo tiger sweater. All worn in her own unexpected way, obviously.
I just love waiting for the next fashion week to see what Miss Duma has in store. This tiny lady is always searching for new boundaries to cross. So far she just never bores. This means there is only one thing left to say. Dear Mira, in case you do get bored of yourself, please donate your wardrobe to me!
