I have been loving the flatform aesthetic since I can remember, so I was searching for the perfect pair for me. What I like about these Topshop ones I ended up buying is that they are a combo of creepers and espadrilles and they remind me of those Prada creepers that used to be all over the internets 2 years ago.

That being said, I have to admit that these are, well erm, physically challenging to walk in. I have quite some experience with walking in heels, but the thing with heels is that they give you a balancing point. With these flatforms there is no balancing point at all. So if I would feel the need to *balance*, because maybe there’s a twig lying on the road or whatever, I would just fall flat on my face. Or make a really awkward move, which would – in a positive scenario – make it seem like I’m dancing. Walking (or should I say clunking) around in these babies makes me look like I’m a geisha, which is not a good look. Once again, I love the way they look and after walking around in them for a few days I am slowly getting used to them.
I’m a girl who doesn’t give up easily. So I’m just going to keep on walking until I master the art of walking in flatforms. And then I’ll literally put that on my resumé: Master of Walking in Flatforms. Now wouldn’t that be something 🙂

PS. Because you all know what a morning face looks like, I’m hereby confirming the rumors that yes, these pics were taken at 7 in the morning.
