Tonight we Tanqueray

For today’s post I teamed up with gin brand Tanqueray. I was asked to become their brand ambassador, which I immediately said yes to. A. because I love my gin-tonics, but also B. because the story behind the brand really got to me. Tanqueray gin was first made by Charles Tanqueray in 1830, using only the finest botanical ingredients – including juniper, coriander, angelica root and liquorice, which give it its distinct flavour. The recipe is a secret, but Charles was very passionate about creating the best London dry gin out there.  Tanqueray asked me about my biggest passion & it’s actually creating things as well! It’s not creating gin though, not sure if I would give that a try :-). What I love doing is working on illustrations, which I definitely don’t do enough. So I saw this as an opportunity to really get creative again! I created a couple of illustrations around my fave Tanqueray gin recipe. Very excited to share those with you guys!

Besides getting creative by myself I also love love love collaborating with other creatives. This always gives me so much inspiration and energy.  For this photoshoot I teamed up with Aygin (who after this project goes by the nickname of Tanquer-Aygin :-)), a very talented photographer. We went to a botanical garden in Amsterdam in search of some botanicals. We didn’t find the ones that are in Tanqueray, but sure had a good time!

If you’re looking for a good time as well be sure to visit Tanqueray’s pop-up speakeasy bar 1830. Charles Tanqueray himself will guide you to the location after you’ll text him on 0637568673. Still not convinced? Have a sneak peek on my Instagram here & here.
