Whenever I describe my style to someone, I tell them my style is about having fun with fashion and that I enjoy mixing streetstyle with feminine items. But, when someone describes my style to me they always tell me it’s all about colour and prints. It’s funny how that is what stands out most about my style. To me wearing colour is nothing special, but I find that a lot of people are afraid to wear colour. Especially when I look at local style in The Netherlands, I see that a lot of people refer playing it safe. Either they don’t like standing out in a crowd, or they’re afraid anything colourful won’t go with anything in their wardrobe.
I wish more people would start wearing colour, it would definitely put a smile on my face on the streets, especially during these grey days. And believe me: wearing colour will make you feel better too! Of course you don’t have to look like a walking rainbow, but a little pop of colour wouldn’t hurt anyone. Take , it’s an easy investment piece: the material makes it look chic and it goes really well with darker colours. So tell me, will you give it a try?
