I have a tiny confession to make. Sometimes I’m such a bad blogger! Last week I visited the press days of my favourite shop ever — and totally forgot to share all my faves with you guys. I didn’t take one picture (except for those amazing boots I need right now) even though I admired EVERY. SINGLE. ITEM. You’re just going to have to trust me that good things will be coming this Autumn/Winter. Very good things.
Basically the new collection consists of a minimal trend, an army trend and two 70s trends: casual (think suede & denim) and glam. Today I want to talk about the glam trend, which is starting to grow on me more and more. I think I need anything faux fur, lurex, satin, sequined, ribbed, striped or with a stars print. Think Bowie and Farah Fawcett. The trick is to wear this trend and not look like you’re going to a theme party. I know it’s always nice to feel like you’re 100% on trend a.k.a. the cool kid on the block. But sometimes this is just a feeling, while in reality you may look like a complete idiot 😉 So here are a couple of key pieces I selected, which I think anyone can wear. The trend is going to be huge by the end of this year, but if you like to be an early bird these items are available right now! They still fit the 70s glam theme, but will look totally appropriate in real life when worn with a nice basic piece like a denim jacket or skirt.
