I remember a classmate of mine in art school asking me whether it was my birthday that day, as I was wearing a pretty dress. Another day a colleague asked me if I was attending a wedding later that day, since I was looking so chic. Those questions stuck with me as I thought it was silly; I never thought of dressing that way. I don’t think you need a particular reason to look good, except for that it makes you feel good about yourself. Wearing something pretty can be a real moodlifter. So I decided to wear this beautifully detailed dress on a regular weekday. I knew it would be a perfect match to these holographic pumps. And since I didn’t want to look too princessy I added a denim jacket. Denim jackets – just like biker jackets – are a perfect match to dresses if you ask me. They can make them look a bit more daytime appropriate. In this case I went out at night so all I needed was to take off my jacket to look like the princess I dreamt of being as a little girl.
