10 facts you (probably) didn’t know about me

1. When I was little I wanted to be a writer. I spent a lot of my time writing little stories and poems. I’m not exactly a writer right now, but writing these pieces for my blog kinda counts, right?

2. I’ve always had a fringe. Except for that one time when I decided to grow it out and ended up with a sunburnt forehead.

3. I lived in Barcelona for 6 months. During my art school years I was able to do an exchange to Barcelona, one of my favourite cities in the world. It was one of the best times in my life and I ended up making a lot of friends from all over the world. I didn’t learn a word of Spanish though.

4. It took me a while to achieve my ‘look’. You know, the long dark hair, fringe, winged eyeliner and bright lipstick kinda look. I used to love experimenting with my haircut. I had a red, short bob for quite some time.

5. Even though I’m obsessing over multiple designer bags, I don’t actually own one. Yup, the one I’m wearing in the picture above is actually borrowed from my sweet friend Virgit. If I would be able to save up enough to buy one, I’d definitely go for the

6. One of my big dreams is to publish a children’s book. There’s a lot of things I want to make, but my ultimate achievement t would definitely be a children’s book. Writing the story and drawing all pictures myself would be awesome.

7. I’m an aunt. Auntie Iris speaking! I have the sweetest nephew in the world. His name is Noah and he’s 7 years old. I don’t get to see him nearly enough as I should, but when I see him he always surprises me with something new.

8. I started my blog (partially) due to my friends. They kept on calling me ‘the blogger without a blog’, since my style has always been very ‘blogable’. At that point there were already a lot of blogs out there so I was wondering whether I would add something new to the blogosphere. Still, I gave it a shot and here I am!

9. My favourite movie ever is Amélie. I’m a sucker for quirky, feel-good indie movies. Amélie is a bit of a cliché in the genre but I still love to watch it over and over again. The soundtrack alone can cheer me up!

10. I’m a vegetarian. Partially by choice, as I was raised vegetarian, but decided to stay that way. Vegetarians were considered lame when I was little, so I’m glad it changed a little overtime and restaurants usually have enough vegetarian options on their menus.
