I love to go thrift shopping from time for time. My favourite place for that is de IJ-hallen in Amsterdam.

In these two halls there’s a flea market being held one weekend per month and you can find the most amazing things there. It all depends on who’s selling, of course, sometimes it’s all junk. A lot of times though there are groups of fashionable girls selling things from this season, which they probably are already tired of. Because you know, selling stuff means more shopping money! My best finds though are with unexpected people, who don’t seem to care about fashion. They won’t get tired of their clothes for years and then one day decide to sell something incredibly cool, probably just for some extra cash. And that’s exactly what happened with this coat I’m wearing. The stall I found it at was filled with Christmas decorations, and one very lonely coat. I can’t believe nobody had bought it already, since houndstooth is very ‘in’ right now. I absolutely love the classical print and for only €9 I had to make it mine! I just can’t have enough coats  this winter and I’m super happy with this one! The texture is beautiful and the fabric is 80% wool, that’ll keep me warm!
