Summer city hair styles with Aveda Damage Remedy

Summer city hair styles with Aveda Damage Remedy

Hola! Just got back from a super fun trip to Barcelona, where I shot the pictures in today’s post! I am going to tell you a bit about how I created the looks and why I love using Aveda Damage Remedy products with this.

If you’re curious about this product line from Aveda, make sure to order your damage remedy trip discovery kit cadeau + free shipping @ www.aveda.nl with CODE: damagetrio.

When going for my daily looks I love adding something extra by including my hair style in a look as well. My hair is naturally a bit wavy, especially after cutting it last year. If I don’t do anything to my hair it kind of has it’s own will. This is why in order to style my hair I need curling irons, blow dryers and hair straighteners to work some magic. I recently bleached my hair some more and went on some sunny vacays (hello Malaga, Positano and Barcelona), so I need to be careful I don’t damage my hair. This is where my favourite Aveda product line comes in handy. If I travel with big luggage I just bring all Damage Remedy products with me, but for hand luggage there are smaller packages available, small enough to fit into any travel bag. My personal favourite is the Aveda Split End repair, which I keep in my bag to nurture my hair on the go.

Now here’s how I create my 3 favourite summer in the city hair looks!

1: Volume

– Add Aveda Damage Remedy Daily Hair Repair to moist hair to protect it against heat styling.
– Spray in some Aveda Thickening Tonic in sections and then brush your hair to divide the product.
– Bend your hear down and blow dry to create extra volume from the top of your head.
– Bend your head back and brush your hair with a paddle brush.
– Spray AvedaAir Control Hair Spray in your hair and let it dry. Then brush and style it how you like it!
– Finish by adding  Damage Remedy Split End Repair to repair your hair immediately.

2: Straight

– Add Damage RemedyTM Daily Hair Repair to moist hair to protect it against heat.
– Apply a big amount of Smooth InfusionTM Naturally Straight.
– Brush your hair to one side with a paddle brush and blow dry it from the top. Brush your hair to the other side and blow dry carefully. This wrap dry technique decreases the volume and makes your hair even straighter.
– Place your hair brush below a section of hair once the start is dry.  Make sure you don’t put your hair dryer too close to your hair, so it doesn’t overheat and damage.
– Brush and blow dry your hair from start to finish to make sure the ends are dry too.
– Finish your look with a hair straightener if necessary. In my case it was, it’s hard to tame those manes 😉
– Finish by adding Damage Remedy Split End Repair to repair your hair immediately.

3: Loose curls

– Add Damage RemedyTM Daily Hair Repair to moist hair to protect it against heat.
– Divide a generous amount of  Be CurlyTM Curl Enhancer over the ends of your hair.
– When your hair is completely dry, use a curling iron to get a more defined look. Wrap a few curls around the iron to define them. Count to ten and remove the curl from the iron and let it cool down.
– Do not brush your curls, but use your fingers to style them, make them less frizzy and keep the curls in shape.
– Finish by adding Damage Remedy Split End Repair to repair your hair immediately.

That’s it, would love to hear which looks was your favourite! And if you end up ordering Aveda’s Damage Remedy products I would love to hear about your experience!
