5 must-visit hotspots in London

5 must-visit hotspots in London

London, pretty London. One of my fave cities in the world and a city I visit so much it’s starting to feel like a second home. Last time I visited London the weather wasn’t too great. Now obviously the weather has never been London’s USP, so I can’t blame the Brits for planting loads of awesome bars & restaurants in their capital. The perfect excuse to stay dry, just walk into one of the many fun places and order some good food or a cup of coffee. Here’s a list of my favourite London hotspots of the moment. Let me know if you visited any of them or if you have anything to add to the list!

The Breakfast Club

This American style place may seem not very London like,  but it’s very well worth the visit. If breakfast is your fave meal of the day, the Breakfast Club is for you. If not, don’t worry, there’s plenty of other yummy dishes to choose from. TBC has 13(!) different locations, so where ever you are in London, you can be sure there’s one near you.

Wahaca

The picture above doesn’t do this place justice, at all. Let’s just say I was having too much fun to take pictures! Wahaca is my go to restaurant (17 locations in London alone!) everytime I’m in London. I’m a sucker for good Mexican food and that’s exactly what you’ll find here. Add some good cocktails to the mix and I’m sold! What I love about Wahaca is the fact that you can order a lot of small dishes for shared dining. Plus the menu is just really good, my faves include the plantain taco & the sweet potato and feta taquito. Just writing about this makes me hungry!

 Grind & Co

The London Grind is another one of those succesful concepts with multiple locations. Who doesn’t love a good cup of coffee? I’m sure all Londoners with their busy lives do. The classy Grind Cafés are totally Instagrammable, plus they serve really good coffee. Ideal for a quick catch-up with a friend or a short break if you’re in London as a tourist.

Sketch

Those pink chairs that lured you into this post? Yep, they’re at Sketch. The amazing tropical room in the picture above? That one too! Sketch is an amazing bar/restaurant/lunch room. The place has 4 different rooms, all with a different purpose. You can have high tea in the pink (!) velvet (!!) room, lunch in the tropical room, drinks in the artsy gallery room and a proper Michelin star dinner in their restaurant. I went for an amazing broccoli / tofu soup in the tropical room. The prices are definitely not cheap, but a visit to Sketch will definitely spice up your Insta feed!

Fix Coffee

London is full of cute little coffee places, but the ones with an interesting interior always catch my eye. Fix Coffee has super cool wall art and is filled with vintage furniture. Which I didn’t take any pictures of as I always feel it’s a bit rude to take pics of people I don’t know 🙂  The coffee is artisan and they serve delicious homemade cookies, which is a big plus if you ask me. Fix location makes it perfect to combine with a visit to Shoreditch or The Barbican.
