Here it is: the last outfit post of 2015! Can’t believe another year has passed, how cliché that may sound. If I would have known this time last year about all of the things that were going to happen, I’d probably ask you to pinch me!
Here’s a recap of my 2015 high lights, in random order.
A Dash Of Fash got nominated for a Zalando Award
Never ever in my life have I been nominated for anything. So to be nominated for an award by Zalando, one of Europe’s most well-known online retailers was pretty awesome. I ended up not winning, but oh well. Fingers crossed for next year, right?
My Instagram account reached the 100K follower mark
Wait, what? 100.000 people, that’s about the size of 2 large football stadiums. And that’s how many of you are following me on Instagram. I guess that’s what I meant when I told you I needed someone to pinch me 😉 Of course blogging is not all about the numbers, but you have to admit this is pretty cool!
Working with some of my favourite brands
This blog is one of my ways to make a living and while it’s tempting to take any commercial offer I get, I always look for the right brands to work with. Looking back on this year I have to admit I was pretty lucky to have all of these great brands knocking on my door. Collaborations included Monki, Zalando, 7 For All Mankind, ASOS, and River Island. I also loved the fact that I was able to take 2 of you lovely people on a shopping spree to Designer Outlet Roermond.
After living in the tiniest and oldest home you can imagine for 4,5 (!) years, we thought it was time for something new. That’s why we started searching for a new place this year. We were incredibly lucky to stumble upon a newly renovated appartment, overlooking the centre of Haarlem, which we moved to in June. After moving in I posted a couple of sneak peeks of the place.
Fun events – lunch with Vogue anyone?
Thanks to A Dash Of Fash I get invited to loads of fun events. I’m quite used to this, but when I received an email from Vogue to have lunch with them, my heart skipped a beat. That’s bucket list material right there!
Meeting new people
Because I get to attend so many events I always meet a lot of great new people. 2015 was no exception. I enjoy exchanging thoughts with someone new and had a lot of inspiring meetings and chats.
Visited London 4 times
This year my mum-in-law moved to London, which means I always have a place to stay when I’m there. I can’t say how thankful I am for that! The boy and I went to London twice, but the other two times were actually blog related. I went to London for London Fashion week with blogger bestie Carmen. I also had my first ever press trip abroad, thanks to Puma!
A new family member
So I don’t always talk about personal stuff on this blog, but this one is definitely worth a mention. In June my brother and his girlfriend welcomed a little baby girl. She is the cutest thing I have ever seen.
Now enough about me, I’d love to hear from you in the comments about your 2015 highlight!
