December. The last month of the year. The month winter kicks in. Well, not in the Netherlands. Around here it just means fall 2.0. It has been raining non stop today, which brings me to the 99 problems part, brought up by the very sweater I'm wearing.
I'm not sure if fashion bloggers really have 99 problems, maybe if you like to make a problem out of everything - or maybe on the good old bank account-, but that's not the point I'm trying to make here. If we do have a problem, it is the weather. It is our friend and our enemy. Sun is good, especially during sunset or sunrise, because that's what makes the light so beautiful. Windy weather can be annoying, but there's always a place to find where the wind doesn't blow that hard. But rain, rain is a problem.
I love trying out new locations when shooting an outfit. But this darn weather makes that kind of impossible. By the time I get to a location I'll already be soaking wet. Now how's that for fashionable pictures? It would be nice if there was a way to teleport myself to a place where the weather's just perfect for shooting. Because if there's one thing I won't do, it's letting the weather dictate my wardrobe. Wellies, plastic rain capes and umbrellas have never seemed fashionable to me.
On the bright side it hasn't been too cold, which made it able for me to put on my good old polka dot tights and combine them with this royal blue skort I received from Lookbookstore. Don't you just love the combination of black, blue and polka dots?

I'm not really one for climbing trees, although these pictures may suggest otherwise. I remember one of my classmates in primary school who loved climbing trees. Until one day she fell out of one and got injured quite badly. After witnessing that I figured it was better to play it safe and stick to what I knew: drawing and writing stories.
When you think of it, that's kind of what I always stuck to. Drawing and writing stories is what I do on this very blog, too. This makes me wonder: is it time to start climbing the metaphorical tree? A lot of people my age are buying houses and having babies, which to me, feels like they are playing it safe. They stick to their plan and do what they always intended to. Primary school, high school, maybe university, then the job, the house, the kids and that's about it, until you die. I like to think I am more of a daredevil. But if I stick to what I know, even if it's not buying a house, or having a baby, am I really taking enough risks?
I am not intending to go all emo on you, this might just be a case of the - early - winter blues. After all, I have climbed a tree today. Not very high, but hey, we're getting there. I am at a weird point in my life, since I currently have no job or projects to work on. This leaves me with more time to work on my blog, which I'm very happy about. It also feels like I'm at a crossroad. Where do I go now? Left, right, or up a tree?

Christmas is just around the corner, which means it's time to start creating wish lists! I was asked by online marketplace DaWanda to create mine with items sold on their platform. I wasn't familiar with DaWanda, but it's kind of like the European Etsy (don't worry, they do ship to the United States too!). DaWanda is a marketplace where international sellers sell handmade, vintage and new items. Making a list wasn't hard at all, because there are a lot of cool goodies to choose from! Although I'm mostly known for being a fashion blogger, I decided to not only add clothes, but also interior accessories to the list. My home is really small, so Scott and me haven't been able to adjust it to our taste properly. We're planning on moving to a bigger place, so thanks to this wish list I already know what to buy when that happens!
